I was asked today if I was expanding my family? If that wasn't bad enough, the immediate response for explanation was basically -- how - get a dog.

OUCH!!

CVS - $1.33 for 7 items

CVS has a great deal right now on their CVS brand products. My husband has to take Prilosec - so I bought the generic CVS brand for $21.49.

Now their current deal is you buy $30.00 worth of CVS or Marked Brand Items in the store you get a $10.00 gift card.

Thus I bought the diet coke on sale $3.34, CVS brand Pepto tabs lg bottle $4.99, 2 - 2pks of CVS Hyrdrogen Peroxide for $4.00, and the Snickers because was marked for $1.00 so craving kicked in. Total w/out tax: $34.82.

Subtotal $34.82 - $10.00 gift card - $2.00 reward on peroxide - $21.49 on medicine I had to buy anyway = SPENT $1.33 FOR 12 PK DIET COKE, SNICKERS, PEPTO TABS, AND 4 PK HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. NOT TOO BAD!!

If you have the extra money to put in upfront and have to buy a larger priced item anyway like medicine or even if you need to stock on household goods- this deal is a no brainer.

Rememberance & Perspective

September 11, 2001.......Like a friend of mine said this will be a day you will vividly remember and know exactly where you were and what your were doing at that time ?

Now looking 10 yrs back, I was actually taken aback when someone recently just asked why would a virtuous GOD ever let something like 9-11 occur.

I started with my usual - GOD is not responsible for the evil in the world. That was put into place in the Garden of Eden and not by GOD's actions. You pray all the time for free will - begging GOD to let you do what you want to do and be who you want to be, etc. And he gives all of us that free will - he is a loving non-controlling GOD. But, then we moan/whine when he doesn't intercept the free will and prevent an event like 9-11.

This person just gave the blank stare that you get when you know they are just being cordial but not buying what you are saying. Then it just clicked in my head of a way to put it in relatable terms.

It took many, many years and thousands of hours to plan the evil attacks that occurred on that day. But, it only took mere seconds for GOD to put it to good use. Ordinary individuals were running into burning buildings, carrying injured strangers for blocks, digging through rebel, searching for anyway to help. Race, creed, sex, and religion didn't matter - we were just brothers and sisters. That is GOD at work.

Evil may take place, but GOD will always use it for good!!

Sept 11th has been set aside as the national day of service. You don't have to be a heroic act to help. Just keep your eyes open daily for a way to serve. It could be as simple as buying a cup of coffee for a stranger or even just opening a door. Small gestures to show that kindness and caring are still there!!

Albertsons has them for a 1.39 when you go to the register the cashier will scan an in store coupon for a 1.00 off each item. I found five flavors.....by the way White Cran-Peach is DEEEEELICIOUS~!!

Also I found 80/20 ground meat in the butcher block for 3.99 BOGO. That's right pay 3.99 for one pound and get another pound FREE.....I can hear the sizzle of burgers on the grill...YUUUUM!

Just when you think your world is bad..there is such a reality check around the corner. Please check out this blog. My heart goes out to this family. Be sure to scroll down and read the poem Courtney wrote to Tripp called "I'll need a pinky swear". Her faith is outstanding. I have emailed the Roth family to see if there is anything at all they are in need of - I will keep you posted on any request and of course Tripp's condition. As always you can never have enough prayers and this family needs them right now.....

Hey wanted to let everyone know of a local deal. Alberstons has their Crest toothpaste on sale for 10 for $10. And no you don't have to buy 10 of them. Then in the July P&G book there is a coupon for 0.75 off Crest toothpase over 4.0 size. Thus making a tub of toothpaste only 0.25.

I got 9 tubes of toothpaste for $2.25 plus tax.

FYI: Albertsons in Denham had 10 item limit. Albertsons on George ONeal had a 4 item limit.
